ido y no volverá.
Hubo hombres que soñaban un
mundo mejor
y mujeres que morían junto a
sus hijos.
Hubo algunos que "pensaban" y
ese fue el error
y hubo otros que miraban sin
alzar la voz.
¡Ay, Dios...! ¿Dónde estabas
vos?
Treinta mil veces morimos sin
tu bendición.
Hubo hermanos que gritaban
sin sentir dolor
y hubo niños que crecieron
con el traidor.
Hubo viajes sin regreso al
fondo del mar
y bebimos de la sangre de
quienes ya no están.
Caravanas de tristeza giran
sin parar,
mientras que los delincuentes
brindan por la paz.
¡Ay, Dios...! Dime ¿dónde
estás?.
Treinta mil veces pedimos que
haya justicia.
Since 1973 Argentina begins to live times of many social conflicts. Peronism returns to government after 18 years of banning and after being overthrown by a military coup in 1955.
In all that time and from Spain, the place of his exile, Perón was designing the strategy to return to power, including the formation of armed groups such as Montoneros, which in the 70s reached their greatest height and presence with the death of the General Aramburu in June 1970. Aramburu had been the one who overthrew Perón in 1955.
As of Perón's death in 1974, he was succeeded by his wife Isabel Martínez, who, lacking any political background, quickly succumbed to her far-right environment, producing a state of anarchy and confrontation with the fractions of the armed left, such as Montoneros and the ERP and that gave rise to the entire political, union and ecclesiastical arch to demand that the Armed Forces, by means of a new coup, take power and end the guerrillas.
In March 1976 the Civic-Military coup took place that overthrew Isabel Martínez and began a period of persecution of politicians, artists, social actors and any individual that the military government considered enemies, ending in the largest massacre against society produced by any government, including torture, disappearances, theft of newborns in captivity and any crimes against humanity they may commit.
This song, very humble indeed, tries to reflect what that dark time left in the life of an entire people.
WITHOUT END
This story that I bring you has no end,
because there are people who have left and will
not return.
There were men who dreamed of a better world
and women who died with their children.
There were some who "thought" and that
was the mistake
and there were others who watched without raising
their voices.
Oh my God...! Where were you
Thirty thousand times we die without your
blessing.
There were brothers who screamed without feeling
pain
and there were children who grew up with the
traitor.
There were trips without returning to the bottom
of the sea
and we drank from the blood of those who are gone.
Caravans of sadness turn without stopping,
while criminals toast peace.
Oh my God...! Tell me where you are?.
Thirty thousand times we ask for justice.
